Pneumonia Following Influenza
Claims Another Victim - Fun-
eral Tuesday Afternoon
Mrs. Amanda Bovard, wife of John Bovard, Esq., passed away at 9:15 Sunday morning at her home on Fairmount following an illness of influenza that developed into pneumonia. She was ill only a little more than a week.
Mrs. Bovard was born in Henderson county, Illinois, August 12, 1845, her maiden name being Amanda Noyes. She had been a resident of Jefferson county for many years and reared a large family of children, all of whom are well known. Mrs. Bovard united with the Baptist church at West Fork many years ago and she lived a consistent Christian life.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. James Reed, Mrs. Fred Barber, and Mrs. James T. Green, all of this county; three sons, J.H. Bovard of Newcastle, Ky., John R. Bovard of Carrollton, Ky. and Frank Bovard.
The funeral services will be held at 2'oclock Tuesday afternoon and the burial will be in Hebron cemetery.
Mrs. Bovard had many friends in the county and the news of her death will be received with general regret.)
