[Photo taken 9/5/2016, after Spirits Alive at Eastern Cemetery had recently cleaned and reset this gravestone. As you can see in the other photo, this stone had been knocked over and was lying on the ground. The base had sunken, so that was dug up and reassembled. There had probably been a fence of some sort around the Noyes family plot, which would have gone right behind this stone because the stones behind this one were set facing the other way. This usually indicates the presence of a fence that would have prevented people from seeing the stone engraving on the usual side.]

Noah Noyes gravestone
According to earlier transcriptions of Eastern Cemetery, Noah is buried next to his wife Susanna. The stone is lost, but the grassy area next to his wife is where he is buried. |
