I am Tina Anne (nee: Noyes) Dunn b*** in Portsmouth, Virginia, #2 child of Robert James Noyes *** in Green, Clay County, Kansas & Marylou (nee: Lange) Noyes b. *** in Palmer, Kansas. My Paternal Grandparents were Wallace Clifford Noyes b. Jan. 2, 1895 Green, Clay Cty., Kansas & Alice E. (nee: Siebold) Noyes b. Jan. 8, 1905. Wallace's parents were Eugene Noyes b. Mar. 1872 in Vermont, and Cora Belle (Nee: Wallace) Noyes of Iowa (I have photo's of gravestones taken last year). Eugene's parents were James E. Noyes b. Abt. 1849, Brandon, Rutland, Vermont and Anne E. Smith of Ohio.
I was stuck here for about 8 months...but believe that I have found the next connection: James was the son of Reuben Noyes b. Abt. 1810 in Rutland County, Vermont and Abagail (nee: Rogers) also of Vermont. Reuben was the son of Daniel Noyes b. Abt. 1780 in Massachusetts and Nancy (nee: Davis). If I am correct, Daniel was the son of Daniel Noyes b. 11/24/1748 in Pembroke, Merrimack, New Hampshire and Abigail (nee: Ames) b. Abt. 1756 - Andover, Essex, Massachusetts. This Daniel was the son of John Noyes b. 4-7-1741 and Abigail (nee: Poore) b. 6-6-1721...who would be my GGGGGGGrandparents. I believe if I keep following this trail, I am a descendant of Nicholas Noyes. Am I correct and can you please tell me roughly where I fit into the tree? Any help will be greatly appreciated. At some point I had so much figured out but my Mother insisted
that Dad's family was from Vermont and not Mass. or N. H. - guess she forgot that everybody comes from somewhere, but not all of their relatives come from the place where they end up making their home. Thank you so much for all of the time you've
spent researching and updating all of this history for the Noyes clan, and thank you so much for any assistance or information you can provide. It is amazing how many of us there still are. As a child, my father served in the U. S. Navy and every town we moved to or visited, the first thing we'd do was check the phone book to see if there were any Noyes' listed...only twice did it occur!
