  Notes	George was the youngest of 7 children. On the 1861 census he was aged 2 living with parents in Peldon. On the 1871 census he was aged 12 living with parents in Peldon. After their marriage, George and Isabella lived in Peldon, where their first six children were born, one of whom died aged 7 days.   On the 1881 census George and Isabella were living in Peldon with sons Frederick aged 2 and Herbert aged 9 months. On the 1891 census George and Isabella were living in Peldon with their children Frederick 12, Herbert 10, George 8, Frank 5 and Laura 2.   Between 1891 and 1893 George and Isabella King moved from Peldon to Virley. Tragically, George's wife Isabella died a month after giving birth to Arthur, and was buried in Salcott, aged just 34. George was left a widower with six children under the age of 15, including a month old baby. George would have had to work to support himself and his family. He would have needed a lot of help with caring for his children. His family and neighbours probably rallied round and helped him as much as they could, but it would have been a very tough time for George and his children. George and Isabella's baby son, Arthur, was taken in by George's sister Emily and her husband Thomas Baldwin, and was brought up by them in Layer de la Haye, Essex.
