- (OBIT: In Watertown, Jan 31. Mrs. Amanda Noyes, wife of Samuel Noyes, 54 yrs. and 9 mos. She became a subject of grace in early life. In 1836 she came to Watertown, and soon entered that career of active usefulness for which she was distinguished. She was a woman of sterling worth, afuently devoted to her family, modest and unassuming, yet always ready to meet the calls upon her time and labor which are so needed to maintain in vigor the various social and charitable associations of a church.
