- (in 1934 the Congregational Church became federated with the High Street Methodist Episcopal Church, meeting alternately in both churches. The High Street Methodist Episcopal Church had previously absorbed the Main Street Methodist Episcopal in the late 1800's. The federation continued until 1937, when it was voted to dissolve the Federated Church and to become the First Parish Church, Congregational, but occupying the former High Street Methodist Episcopal Church building. In 1961, the First Parish Church voted to become a member congregation of the United Church of Christ, and so changed its name to read: First Parish United Church of Christ, (Congregational).)

Notes |
- Frank Donahue, night-time employee at the Winslow & Co. mill in Berlin, New Hampshire living with his family in the Monday house, recalled that while he was at work the house caught fire and burned down. Mrs. Donahue crawled out of the window in her nightdress with the baby, Frank, Jr., in her arms. Nothing was saved. He said Mrs. C.C. Noyes, next door neighbor, gave his wife a dress and that Gardner Paine, who was working with him, gave him a coat.

Greetings Ryan:
Well, I had a hit! I started with the record of the Methodist Episcopal Churches in Somersworth. High St. ME Church and Main St. ME church records are in our mix. I found in the record book of 1857-1866, that Chas C. Noyes and Eunice Noyes were received (into membership) by Prof(ession of Faith) Jan 2 1857, and both were removed by Letter Dec 22, 1877. A letter of transfer of membership was common—where they went is not noted. Also in this book is Mary J. Noyes, received (into membership) by Prof(ession of Faith) Jan 2, 1857 (same day as Charles and Eunice). A notation that extended out seems to indicate she married Hezekiah Fall (though, I think I am misreading the extension, which probably applies to the name below Mary’s. I don’t want to add anything more to your mix than is already there!).
