- OBIT Isaiah Maynard Washburn 71. Died 4-25-1988 at a Presque Isle hospital after a long illness. He was born in Wade 2-26-1917 the son of Harry and Margaret (Forbes) Maynard. He served with the Us Army during WWII and had been employed by several construction firms in the Caribou Washburn areas for many yrs. He married Violet Damboise 4-23-1963. Surviving besides his wife of Caribou are his stepson and daughter in law, Gary and Pat McCarty of Washburn, 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Joe (Sharon) Walgreen of Quincy, MA., and Mrs. Richard (Darlene) Brown of Orono, his brother and sister in law, Harry and Cora Maynard of Washburn, 1 sister, Frieda Monson of Home, Alaska, 9 grandchildren, Heidi Peterson, Shannon, Colleen, Derek and Dale McCarty, Gregory and Emily Jean Brown, Eric and Jeffrey Walgreen, many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by 1 step daughter, Colleen Peterson. Burial Riverside Ext. cemetery.)
