- (OBIT: MARS HILL, June 3, Mrs. Mae A. Bell, 45, wife of Allen C. Bell, died May 25 in the Fort Fairfield hospital. Born in Woodstock, N.B., daughter of the late Richard and Nettie (Cole) Hatfield. She had resided in Mars Hill for 25 years. Surviving are her husband, one son, Clifford; and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Whitinick and Mrs. Marjorie Bell all of Mars Hill and Harry Hatfield of Manchester, Conn., two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Marston of Temperance Vale, N.B., and Mrs. Nellie Hodsdon of Madawaska. Funeral services were conducted in the Full Gospel Assembly, Mars Hill at 2:30 on May 27, the Rev. Harold Bickford officiating, assisted by Rev. Earl Beal. Interment was in King's Grove Cemetery. Bearers were Alfred Bell, Clarence Bell, Everett Durost, Perley Shaw, Lewis Kingsbury and Hugh Jamison.
