- (In the Name of God Amen, This Twentieth Day of May Anno Domini 1765 and in the fifth year of his Majesties Reign George the 3d. King of great Brittain etc. I Nathaniel Ordway of the Town of Newbury in the County of Essex and Province of the Massachtts. Bay in New England yeoman Being of sound mind and memory but mindfull of my mortallity Do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form Following, viz. first of all I commend my Soul to God who gave it and my Body I commend to the Earth to be Decently Buried att the Discretion of my Executors hereafter Named In hope of a Resurection to Immortal Life, in Gods due time, thro: the merrits of Jesus Christ my Saviour and as to the Worldly Estate it has Pleased God to give me I give Devise and Dispose of as [Follows?]
Imprimis I give and Devise to my Beloved Wife Sarah Ordway the Use and Improvement of the One third Part of my housing and Land during her Natural Life also one third Part of all my Personal Estate.
Item I give and Devise unto my Grandson [Amos?] Ordway (son of my son Nathan Ordway decd.) the sum of one hundred & sixty Pounds money to be paid to him by my Executors when he is come to the age of Twenty one years.
Item I give and Devise unto my Grand Daughter Sarah Ordway the sum of Twenty Pounds money to be paid to her two years after my decs. or on the Day of her marriage which shall happen first.
Item I give and Devise unto my Grand Daughter Anna Ordway the sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid to her by my Executors four years after my Decease or on the Day of her marriage which shall happen first.
Item I give and Devise unto my Daughter Elizabeth Knight whatsoever shee have already Receivd. of [___] and I also give her more five Pounds to be paid to her by my Executors [___] my Decease in my household goods att an Indifferent apprizem[___]
Item I give and Devise unto my grand Daughter Anna Rogers the sum of three Pounds to be paid to her by my Executors att [___] Decease in my household goods att an Indifferent apprizem[___]
Item I give and Devise unto my Daughter Sarah Ordway the sum of fifty three Pounds, six shillings, and Eight pence mon[___] to be paid unto her by my Executors the one half within two y[___] after my Decease or Day of her marriage which shall hap[___] first the other half within five years after my Decease.
Item I give and Devise unto my son David Ordway One h[___] two Oxen and one cow att my Decease.
Item I give and Devise unto my two sons Joshua Ordway and D[___] Ordway whom I do constitute and appoint sole Executors [___] this my Last Will and Testament to them and their heirs forever all my hou[s?]ing and Lands and all my Personal Estate and also all my Wrights of whatsoever Name or Nature and not Before Disposed of all in equal halfs, Both in Quantity and Quallity my will is that my Executors Receive all my dues and pay all my Just Debts Legacies and funeral Expenses.
Lastly I revoke and annul all Wills by me heretofore made and Declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the Day and year above Written.
