| Notes |
- He was for 3 years a member of the Maine legislature, and twice sheriff of the county. In 1842 he was appointed by the U. S. Court one of the general assignees in bankruptcy for the county of Cumberland. lie was afterwards for 4 yearsin the Custom House in Portland, Me., in the double capacity of inspector and assistant surveyor. He has held many other civil offices.
