- (OBIT:Lottie Odile (Guerrette) Belanger, 79, wife of the late Eddie Belanger, died Oct. 29, 2001, at her Caribou residence, following a brief illness. She was born at Caribou, April 11, 1922, the daughter of Adolph and Zelica Castonguay Guerrette.
She was educated in the Caribou school system. Lottie was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family and will be fondly remembered by many as the "Social Butterfly". She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church as well as the Ladies of St. Anne and a member of the Catholic Golden Age.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Hector and Sheree Belanger of Woodland and Michael Belanger and Sharon Seymour of Glenburn; four daughters and sons-in-law, Muriel and Kenneth Hartley, Pauline and Roy Woods and Judy and Donald Snell, all of Caribou and Carolyn and Jean Parent of Glastonbury, CT; one brother, Ulysses Guerrette of Caribou, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie in 1997; and a son, Galen Belanger.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St, Caribou, where the members of the Ladies of Saint Anne will conduct evening prayer services at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery.)
