- (OBIT: Annie McCarthy Fort Fairfield and Caribou 85. Died at a Caribou nursing home 10-28-1990. She was born in Tilley, NB., Canada 1-16-1905 the daughter of Stephen and Gertrude (Goodine) Baker. She attended Tilley schools and was a former resident of Fort Fairfield for 42 yrs., where she was a communicant of St. Denis Catholic Church, and a resident of Caribou for the last 13 yrs., where she was a communicant of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1978, a brother, Raymond and 2 sisters, Dorothy Baker and Grace Monteith and a special nephew, Wilfred Monteith. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Mary) Hartley and Mrs. David (Dorothy) Wakem, both of Caribou, 1 sister, Mrs. Verna Hafford of Perth-Andover, NB., Canada, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Burial St. Denis cemetery.)
