    • (OBIT: Gerald G. Noyes, 80, beloved husband of June (Leavitt) Noyes, died June 27, 1993 at a Caribou hospital, after a long illness. He was born at Limestone, March 31, 1913, the son of Alfred L. and Ethel (Long) Noyes. A lifelong resident of Limestone, Gerald was a well known potato grower and dairy farmer until his retirement in 1969. Active in civic affairs, he was a member of the Limestone United Methodist Church; was a Rotarian; and belonged to the Limestone Lodge AF & AM No. 214. He will be remembered for his interest in cattle and horses and also for being an avid fisherman and sportsman. Gerald is survived by his wife of Limestone; one sister, Mrs. Donald (Dora) Atwater of Limestone; one daughter, Mrs. Hayes (Gayle) Ward of Limestone; four grandchildren, Kirk Ward of Presque Isle, Mark Ward of Limestone, Jodie (Ward) Lavoie of Limestone, and Susan (Ward) Caston of Manchester; nine great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Webster Cemetery, Limestone, with the Rev. Carol Wolfe, pastor of the Limestone United Methodist Church, officiating. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Limestone United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, or to the charity of one's choice. Envelopes will be available at the Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou.)
