- (Engraved on one side of a gravestone in the old Morgan cemetery in Rusagonis, New Maryland, New Brunswick is,
"John Morgan Sr. died about 1825"
This seems contradicted by the following:
MORGAN, John Senior - Parish of Fredericton,York Co. Intestate. Administration granted 3 August 1819 to John MORGAN of Parish of Fredericton. Fellow bondsman Oliver Bradley, Parish of Fredericton. -The New Brunswick Royal Gazette, Fredericton, Aug. 10, 1819
ALL Persons having any demands against the Estate of John Morgan, Sen. late of Fredericton, deceased, are requested to render the same, duly attested to, within twelve months from the date hereof; and all those indebted to said Estate, are desired to make immediate payment to JOHN MORGAN, Jun. Admr. - Fredericton, 10th August, 1819. -The Royal Gazette, Fredericton.)
