      A member of the Corporation of Yale College & 45 years pastor of the Congregational Church in this place. A sound and well disciplined mind together with great prudence and exemplary piety qualified him for the arduous and important duties of his office. He was a good counsellor, a faithful minister & died in the faith of Jesus much lamented by those who knew him...AE 76.
