    Notes
    • Mary Noyes was a beloved part of her son, Alonzo's household in Newport, Fl. she is mentioned in family letters (now located at the University of Florida). Although blind, she knitted socks for the family and was an active part of family life. Two letters were written to her from her family in Newbury, Ma. after the civil war. Her niece, Hannah Danforth mentions a photograph of her which she kept by her bed.

She and her Husband, Thomas moved to Newport, Fl. around 1855. [They are in the 1855 census of Ma. with the Noyes grandchildren who are visiting, and I assume that this was when they in the process of moving.] Thomas died in 1861, and is buried somewhere in the Newport/ St.Marks, Fl environs.
