    • (OBIT: - Caribou - Marjorie J. (Noyes) Sewell, 76, married to Willis K. Sewell, died unexpectedly Dec. 7, 1999 at Caribou.

      She was born at Limestone, March 12, 1923, the daughter of Lynwood and Marcia (Finnemore) Noyes. She was a graduate of Limestone High School and also graduated from Husson College with an associate degree and from the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a bachelor degree in education, in 1984. Mrs. Sewell was a substitute teacher in the local area for many years and was also employed at the Federation of Farmers for nearly 20 years. She was a life long and active member of the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, belonging to several groups at the church. She was also a member of the O.E.S. Elizabeth Chapter #108 and a member of the Republican Women.

      Surviving, in addition to her husband Willis of Caribou, are one daughter Lynn E. Sewell of Portland; a sister-in-law Ruth Noyes of Caribou, and several loving nieces and nephews.

      The funeral was held 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10, 1999 at the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lynne Josselyn , pastor, officiating. Interment will take place in the Advent Cemetery, Limestone.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church memorial fund. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.

      Pallbearers were Ronald Curtis, Kimber and Tristan Noyes, Del Ramey, Harry Kearney and Robert Locke.
