Paul Byron Noyes was born on January 2, 1886 to Joseph and Martha Noyes in Moragan County, Ohio and died Nov. 25 1987 at the Beaver City Manor at the age of 101.
He along with his family moved from Ohio to Stamford, at the age of 5 years. In April of 1891. In 1893, the family moved to Dresden, Kansas, where Paul remianed for 29 years. In 1926, Paul purchased the Paul Hanson farm notheast of Precept and moved there.
He lived as a bachelor for many years, until he married Nina Lucy Williams, daughter of Sanford and Mary Sprague Williams on Sept 17, 1936.
Nina was born south of Precept, on a homestead in Furnas Co., Nebraska, on Sept 17 1889. She died at the Beaver City Manor, Feb 23, 1983, at the age of 93. She lived south of Precept most of her life, attending District No. 40 school through the 10th grade, except for two years when the family lived near Wilsonville.
Paul and Nina were active in the Precept Community in its many years of existence.
In 1969, Paul and Nina sold their farm and moved to Beaver City, where they attended the Grace Brethern Church until moving to the Walker Post Manor in Oxford in 1980, later moving to the Beaver City Manor.
Paul and Nina had no children of their own, so they treated Nina's brother and sister-in-law's daughters; Mary, Elaine, Ada Mae, Ann, Janet, Sabdra and Karen like gradchildren.
Paul and Nina are buried in the Maple Creek Cemetery.
