- According to an index card on file at the Mendota Mental Health Institute, Blanche Mayenschein was admitted on November 5, 1918 and paroled (common term used for home release with restrictions) on August 13, 1919. She was later readmitted on June 22, 1920, and again paroled on April 26, 1921, eight days before her death. According to her child Lodean, she was admitted for post-partem depression.
