    • Credited with service in the Revolution as a Private in Capt. Ezekiel Giles' Company
      of Volunteers at Saratoga.

      Caleb served as a Surveyor of Lumber for most of the years between 1783 and 1806. The one exception was 1789 when he was elected to serve as one of the Selectmen. In 1792, he also served on a committee to "procure proper persons for schoolmasters or teachers."
