      Ephraim Noyes (1757-1822) served as a private in Capt. Edward Cobb's company, Col. Edward Mitchell's regiment, which marched from Abington to “The Farms,” in Braintree, 1776, and also served at the Rhode Island Alarm. He was born in Abington, Mass.; died in Bridgewater.
