- Benjamin migrated to New Brunswick about 1780. He is thought to have lived for a time in Newtown Township (Maugerville) and later in Oromocto which is just across the St. John River from Maugerville. He and his oldest son, Joseph, had land grants on the south side of the Oromocto River in what is now Sunbury County. They were located near the village of Geary. Joseph sold his lot in June 1813 and Benjamin sold his lot in June 1815. The family then probably moved to Somerville, N.B. (located across the St. John River from Hartland, Carelton County, N.B.) at this time since no record can be located of them in Sunbury County after this date.
