- Whem Moses moved to Bath, N.H., about 1766-7, he settled on an island in the Ammonoosuck River, at the upper village. He served at various times in the colonial wars. In 1746 he was in Captain Goff's company, and in 1760 he was in Colonel Goff's regiment, from June 6 - November 27, in the invasion of Canada. In 1768 the town records show he claimed five acres of land (for settlement of service rendered).
