- In 1665, William Russell's widow, Martha Bradshaw of Billerica, signed a deed on behalf of her late husband. In about 1670 she made an agreement with her son John whereby she deeded him half of the Jackson Farm if he would stay with her, help and aid in bringing up the four small children in fulfillment of his father's will. David Fisk, father-in-law of John, and surveyor, testified that he measured and set off one half on the Jackson Farm soon after John's marriage. In 1691 an arbitratement was signed by all four sons agreeing to this division of the Jackson Farm. Martha acknowledged this deed on Apr 25, 1687.
