    Notes
    • He was living in what is now West Newbury in 1729 near Morse's Lane. He was on of the inhabitants of Haverhill whose estates fell on the north side of the province line in New Hampshire, in 1741 (Chase's History of Haverhill, p.311). Apparently he then lived in the First Parish of Haverhill. Plaistow, originally a part of Haverhill, was set off as a separate parish 28 Feb 1749. His eight eldest children were born in Newbury and his three youngest in Plaistow, N.H.
