    Notes 
    • Thomas Noyes was lieutenant in Col. Christopher Lippitt's regiment and was in the battles of White Plains, Trenton and Princeton. In 1777 he served in the Artillery. After his wife died, Miss Polly Bliven, who was a distant relative, came to live with Colonel Noyes, and took care of the children, who were greatly attached to her, and spoke of her in after years with much affection.
