    • (To all people to whom these presents shall come, greeting, know ye, that I Joseph Thomes of Falmouth in the County of Cumberland & Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England, Yeoman, for and in consideration of the sum of eight pounds lawful money to me in hand before the ensealing hereof, well and truly paid by my daughter in law Abigail Thomes of Falmouth, widow, or wife of Thomas Thomes, Mariner supposed to be dead the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, and myself therewith fully satisfied and contented, and thereof, and of every part and parcel thereof, do exonerate, acquit and discharge the said Abigail Thomes her heirs, executors and administrators, forever by these presents: have given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed; and by these presents, do freely, fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell, aliene, convey and confirm unto her the said Abigail Thomes her heirs and assigns forever a certain small lot of land lying & being in the part of the said town of Falmouth commonly called the Neck, containing twenty four square rods bounded as follows beginning at a stake standing on the northerly side of Middle Street so called in the southerly corner of James Flood's lot of land whereon he now lives thence running southeasterly adjoining said Middle Street three rods to a stake, and from the two aforesaid stakes to extend back northeasterly the same course with said James Flood's lot adjoining the same as far as that runs eight rods keeping the same width of three rods.

      To have and to hold the said granted premises, with all the appurtenances, priviledges and commodities to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining to her the said Abigail Thomes her heirs and assigns forever: to her and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever, for myself, heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant, promise and grant to and with the said Abigail Thomes her heirs and assigns, that before the ensealing hereof, I am the true, sole and lawful owner of the above-bargained premises, and am lawfully seized and possessed of the same in my own proper right, as a good, perfect and absolute estate of inheritance in fee-simple: and have in myself good right, full power and lawful authority to grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm said bargained premises, in manner as aforesaid: and that the said Abigail Thomes her heirs and assigns shall and may from time to time, and at all times forever hereafter, by force and virtue of these presents, lawfully, peaceably and quietly have, hold, use, occupy, possess and enjoy the said demised and bargained premises, with the appurtenances free and clear, and freely and clearly acquitted, exonerated and discharged of and from all and all manner of former or other gifts, grants, bargains, sales, leases, mortgages, wills, entails, joyntures, dowries, judgments, executions or incumbrances of what name or nature soever, that might in any measure or degree obstruct or make void this present deed.

      Furthermore I the said Joseph Thomes for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, do covenant and engage the above demised premises to her the said Abigail Thomes her heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever, forever hereafter to warrant, secure and defend by these presents.     • (Know all men by these presents, that I Joseph Thomes of Falmouth in the County of Cumberland, Province of the Massachusetts Bay in New England, Yeoman, in consideration of the just sum of fifty three pounds six shillings & eight pence lawfull money, to me in hand paid before the delivery hereof, by my daughter in law Abigail Thomes of Falmouth aforesaid widow, have given, granted, bargained & sold, & do, by these presents, give, grant, bargain, sell, aliene & fully, freely & absolutely, convey & confirm unto her the said Abigail Thomes her heirs & assigns forever, a certain small lot of land, lying and being in that part of the town of Falmouth aforesaid, commonly called the Neck, containing Sixteen square rods, bounded as follows, beginning at a stake, standing on the northeasterly side of Middle Street, in the corner where the northwesterly side of Turkey Lane intersects said Middle Street, and from said corner to extend northeasterly, adjoining said Turkey Lane, two rods to a stake, & from the two aforesaid stakes, to extend northwesterly, adjoining said Middle Street eight rods keeping the same width, together with the westerly half of the dwelling house thereon standing.

      To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises, together with all their appurtenances, free of all incumbrances whatsoever, to her the said Abigail Thomes, her heirs & assigns, as an absolute state of inheritance in the fee simple forever.

      I the said Joseph Thomes for myself, my heirs, execute & administer, do covenant & engage the above demised premises to her the said Abigail Thomes her heirs & assigns, against the lawful claims and demands of any person or persons whatsoever, forever hereafter to warrant, secure & defend by these presents.

      To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises, with all the appurtances, privileges and commodities to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said John Martin his heirs and assigns forever. To his and their only proper use, benefit and behoos forever. Know ye, that we Moses Noyes of Gorham in the County of Cumberland, cordwainer, and Abigail his wife for and in consideration of the sum of thirteen pounds and ten shillings to us in hand before the ensealing hereof, well and truly paid by John Thresher of Falmouth in the county of Cumberland, farmer, the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge and ourselves therewith fully satisfied and contented; and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof, do exonerate, acquit and discharge him the said John, his heirs, ececutors and administrators, forever by these presents: have given, granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed; and by these presents do freely, fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell, aliene, convey and confirm unto him the said John his heirs and assigns forever, twenty four square rods of land in that part of said Falmouth called the Neck, bounded beginning at a stake standing on the northeasterly side of Middle Street, so called, in the southerly corner of James Flood's lot, then running southeasterly adjoining said street three rods to a stake, and from those two stakes to extend northeasterly adjoining the said James Flood's said lot, and on the same course as far as that extends eight rods; keeping the width of three rods; being the same lot that Joseph Thomes conveyed to said Abigail as by his deed will appear.

      To have and to hold the said granted and bargained premises, with all the appurtenances, privileges and commodities to the same belonging, or in any wise appertaining to him the said John his heirs and assigns forever.
