- He graduated from Bangor High School; had A.B. from Bowdoin 1921; Masters Degree from Columbia University School of Library Science in 1929. He held positions at the Smithsonian Institute Library; Michigan University Library; Maxwell Graduate School Library at Syracuse University; Northland College Library in Ashland, Wisc. He was classifier and then assistant librarian at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. He was head of the catalog department and then classifier at Colby College Library. As a volenteer, he organized and cataloged the medical library at Thayer Hospital in Waterville, Me. He was the author of "Bibliography of Maine Imprints to 1820" and "Guide to Study of Maine Local History". If there were children, none were surviving when he died.
